    316/L Stainless & Ceramic 18" High Temperature Thermowell 3/8" I.D.x 11/16" O.D.
    You are considering an 18" x 11/16" x 3/8" ceramic thermowell threaded 1" NPT.  The inside opening for the probe/bulb in the 316/L stainless reducing nipple is 3/8".  Outside diameter of the ceramic tube is 11/16".  Overall length including the attached 1/2" galvanized union is 21-5/8".  Useable immersion length of the well is approximately 18".  The reducing nipple is stamped 316/L HT* 423577.  The carton where these were stored was marked "Stack Temperature Wells" Unfortunately, there are no other part numbers or even a manufacturer associated with this. The ceramic does seem to be quite dense and hard but beyond that observation little is known.  See the photos for any additional information.
