    This is a great, small diameter and fast reacting K-type thermocouple wire. The K-type sensor is a bead at the tip of extra long wire probe, which has a dual FEP (teflon) plastic coating. The wires are individually insulated and color coded, red FEP for the - wire (alumel) and yellow FEP for the + wire (chromel). Then the two wires are combined and insulated with a brown outer FEP plastic. Insulation color code is according to ANSI standard. This K-type thermocouple is easier to clean than fiber glass insulation. It has a removable miniature k-type connector that will work with most digital K-type thermometers (see my shop for a good selection).
    This temperature probe can used to measure air or gas temperatures, liquid temperatures and it can be attached to pipes or embedded into objects you want to measure.

    This thermocouple TC-1 will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer. I have tested this down to -350°F (-210°C) with my thermometer DT1311 and DT1312. The Nicety DT804 and DT804A only measure to -58°F.
