PoolRx contains a proprietary blend of minerals that continuously and effectively eliminates algae. The specially treated alloy cylinder is packed with the PoolRx mineral formulation. These minerals immediately dissolve out of the cylinder and form a stable residual in the pool water. The minerals eliminate the algae while freeing up low levels of chlorine to be more active and productive in the water. During the pools filtration process the minerals are rejuvenated every time they return and pass through the cylinder. PoolRx works synergistically with a constant low level of chlorine. The EPA Registered, NSF Certified PoolRx family of products are non-corrosive and do not adversely affect water chemistry. Normal Pool Chemistry Ranges Required. The PoolRx method is proven to provide algae free water with less chemicals providing a healthier, safer, eco-friendly swimming environment.
Why the need for additional Pool RX® Booster?
For the Pool RX® system to be completely effective there needs to be the right amount of minerals in the pool. This is dictated by the size of the pool and the amount of work the minerals need to do (see table for pool size calculation).
The Pool RX® minerals may need to be replaced or added to from time to time (approximatley ever 6 months). The minerals will need to be replaced as a result of backwash, splash out, high bather load, problem pools or because o the size of the pool.
How will I know when I need more Booster?
Our standard recommendation is to add a booster after 6 months; or when algae starts to form (see Pool RX® Guide for troubleshooting).
Directions:
Simply place the Pool RX® Booster pod into the skimmer and allow the minerals to dissolve into the water. Once all the minderals are dissolved, the pod will float to the surface and can then be discarded.
